Stacey Van Hanswyk of Stosh B Designs has had a passion for glass for as long as she can remember. She was introduced to the medium in a glass blowing class in college. Life led her to various paths of artistic endeavors and eventually into jewelry design.  She worked as a metal smith after completing various jewelry design and technique classes at Saddleback College. While searching for additional components for her unique organic designs she re-discovered her relationship with molten glass and started lampworking.

Initially self taught with a great desire to learn, Stacey attended several lampworking workshops with world-renowned artists such as Kristina Logan and Michael Barley. While at Saddleback College she also had the privilege of taking comprehensive metal forming workshops with nationally-recognized metal artist Helen Betty Longhi.

Over the last several years , Stacey independently developed and implemented the glass / lampworking program for Saddleback College. For the last five years she has taught lampworking workshops there as part of the jewelry curriculum under Larry Jones.
She incorporates glass into her unique designs, along with gemstones, river rocks and whatever other organic treasures she can find. Stacey grew up in Lanikai on Oahu. This magical foundation of early experiences on the island continues to inspire her. Her childhood adventures exploring Oahu forged a bond with the earth and the sea which continue to contribute to her designs. The Asian mystique of the island's culture influence her work as well.

Stacey lives with her family in Laguna Beach, California where she works out of her home studio.
